Emberfall Saga
Emberfall Saga is the kind of mobile RPG that respects your time without watering itself down. Battles are turn-based and tuned so a single fight takes a couple of minutes, but the party building underneath is surprisingly chewy. Each companion has a role, and the fun is finding combinations the game clearly didn't expect you to.
The writing carries it. Your party bickers, jokes, and occasionally refuses to shut up, and there are branching conversation moments that nudge the story sideways. It's not a huge tree of choices, but the ones that matter land well. I replayed the second chapter just to see a different reaction.
The touch UI deserves a mention because so many mobile RPGs fumble it. Targeting is quick, the ability wheel is readable, and nothing important hides behind a tiny button. It's a long game if you want it to be, but you can also dip in for a fight or two on a break.
