Neon Driftline

★★★★☆ 4.2 Editor rating

Neon Driftline isn't interested in simulation. It's a pure arcade racer where the whole point is sliding your car sideways through neon corners and stringing drifts into one long, screaming combo. Steering is tilt by default with a tap to drift, and once it clicks the tracks feel like a rhythm game you play with your whole hands.

The tracks are short loops you'll learn quickly, which is the point — the joy is shaving milliseconds and holding a drift chain you swore you'd break. There's a light car-tuning layer that changes how twitchy your handling feels, and finding a setup that matches your style makes a real difference.

It's loud, fast, and occasionally repetitive if you binge it, but in short bursts it's a genuine rush. Play with the sound on; the soundtrack does half the work.
