How we decide what goes on the site

May 18, 2026 · Marek Novák

People ask how we pick games, and the honest answer is a little chaotic. Someone on the team starts playing something, won't stop talking about it, and eventually we all try it. If it survives that, it gets written up.

We don't chase release calendars or trending charts. Half our favourites are months old and nobody covered them properly the first time. Age doesn't matter; whether we keep opening the app does.

When we write, we play to have an opinion, not to hit a word count. That means finishing campaigns, hitting the difficulty walls, and coming back after a few days to see if the shine held. Scores come last, after the playing.

It's subjective and we're fine with that. What you get is a genuine reaction from someone who put in the hours, not a spec sheet. Take our numbers as a starting point and trust your own taste.
